Welcome!
There are some wonderful things to see and do in Lorain County. From our metroparks (fantastic asset - and the people seem to support the system) to our beaches. Quaint business areas like downtown Amherst to new shopping areas like Avon Commons. Culture abounds with Oberlin College (wonderful underappreciated art museum) and Stocker Center.
We still have rural areas - which need to be preserved, and we also have urban areas like downtown Lorain and Elyria that could be wonderful again (if Crocker Park works, why not downtown Lorain and Elryia???).
History assets abound, from the Lorain County Historical Society to the wonderful little one room school house in Grafton Township (Belden).
There are many, many blogs out there that are negative, often dominated by a half dozen people who like to attack people and ideas and "out shout" anyone that doesn't agree with them. They must spend hours and hours - don't they work?
The positive community wins - and in this time of regionalization Lorain County needs to put it's best foot foward. As I get the time I'm going to try to point out some of the wonderful attributes we have, and in the process I hope to discover more that I'm not aware of.
